MICROBA Microbiome Test Kit Price increases

How does this affect me ?

GUT SKIN CLINIC Neutral Bay Sydney

Microba Labs have advised me of significant price increases for their laboratory testing effective 1st September 2026.

My suggestions to you :

  1. CONSIDERING a REPEAT TESTING ?

If we have discussed a repeat Microbiome testing in your recent consultation, I suggest fast tracking your ordering before the end of month. I am happy to organise another request form to be sent to you ASAP at no additional cost to you and you pay the lab directly. Please reach out to me if you would like your repeat test request fast tracked.

2. CONSIDERING your FIRST MICROBIOME TEST ?

If you are considering testing and we have not met, you will need to have your entry consultation before a test kit can be organised.

Not all microbiome tests are equal.

I have exclusively used MICROBA laboratories clinically validated NATA accredited Stool Microbiome analysis since 2021. This has consistently provided my patients detailed information on :

  • Bacterial diversity and balance

  • pathogens parasites and fungi

  • integrity of your gut wall lining and vulnerability

  • Inflammatory markers

  • Short chain fatty acid production potential

  • Digestive markers

  • Functional microbial patterns and unhealthy metabolites

Microbiome science is evolving.

Results are interpreted cautiously, deeply, and used as one piece of your broader Functional clinical assessment.

Your microbiome is unique.

Understanding your drivers— diet, medications, stress, illness or other factors in combination with our test results allows us to develop a personalised strategy to support your gut ecosystem and your overall wellbeing.

If working with a practitioner be curious as to their experience with test result interpretation. Microbiome science is relatively new and reports differ, and are very detailed. This is a hot topic now and many are ordering tests.

Understanding your nuance and clinical relevance is vital.
