Gut Friendly Green Smoothie

Life is glorious however at some stages all kinds of indulgent meals, extra stress and more sugar than we are used to can play havoc with our metabolism. This has the potential to destabilise our gut balance, increase our inflammatory profile, damage our skin quality and unsettle our restorative sleep by promoting cortisol disruption.

Today I want to share with you a very easy gut friendly recipe which will use a food as medicine approach to revitalise your gut health calm your glucose and insulin spikes and support detoxification.

Fueling your body with a nutrient rich fuel sets you up for more energy, less mood swings and with gut microbial support a bonus.

  • there are options for Dairy free and all ingredients are Gluten free.

  • yoghurt supports beneficial bacteria to rebalance, also great for hair and skin quality and their individual microbiota.

  • polyphenols in the berries, pectin and inulin in the fruits help to promote your microbial biodiversity.

  • broccoli and spinach support phase 1 and phase 2 liver detoxification.

  • spinach and chia provide fibre and help with efficient waste elimination.
